Kate has written articles & led discussions in the industry about socially just practices. However, she is not only a thought leader. She is a master interpreter, having been nationally credentialed shortly after graduation, and is highly requested by Deaf people from the community she serves. While it is not accompanied by academic accolades or regalia, we can all agree this is the highest honor that any ASL interpreter can receive.
